Morning Prayer at both services this Sunday

This Sunday, Jan. 15, both the 8 am and 10 am services will have a significant change from our usual worship. This Sunday lay leaders will conduct the Morning Prayer service from our Book of Common Prayer.

This change is the result of our parish’s engagement in Renewal Works. In our work together to see how we would like to deepen our spiritual lives together, using the Daily Office got a very strong response. The primary services of the Daily Office are Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer. They are older than the Anglican Tradition itself, as they reflect the Hebrew orientation of regular prayer and early monastic practices of the church.

Our Renewal Works facilitator, Aleen Josephs-Clarke, will deliver the homily at both the 8 am and 10 am services. Our wardens, Peter Bedrossian and Bobbie Gordon will officiate at the 8 am and 10 am services, respectively.

Father Tyler and Molly will be in Alaska for ten days, returning in plenty of time for our Jan. 29 for our Annual General Meeting.
